Dreamplay
by Grace Ventura Sardonicus
Dreamplay began as a creation myth about the Skybuilder..... a magical woman who created the elements on planet Earth. As time went on the story evolved to include how all life is a wondrous creation that we are here to care for and play with responsibly. Dreamplay aspires to teach children of all ages through the inspiration of Skybuilder.
Be the change you want to see in the world.
Create a dream of love, light & joy for all future generations.

“Dreamplay is a lovely inspiring book, which we are encouraged to use here at the Boston Childrens Foundation in our Rainbowdance Resilience Building Program. This program, a structured integration of dance, ritual, story and song, is offered to Preschool and elementary children disabled by violent environments created by technology, war, natural disaster and domestic violence. The program encourages a return to nature, the original mother, for safety building and affiliation. It provides children with the experience of harmony and cooperation rather than competition in their peer relationships. This book, through poetry and metaphor and beautiful illustrations, normalizes nighttime, sleep and dreaming to traumatized children. All three may be terrifying. These children magnify the fear of darkness and of the unknown at bedtime. Dreamplay is depicted as a magical time in which we remember where we came from and what we will always return to. The “nest”, which is deeply embedded in our biology as “safe place”, is beautifully illustrated as the place “we came from” ... and “where the stars return home to your heart.
Grace helps children of all ages to remember their place in the world, which prevails in our psyches, the world of archetype.”
